Executive Director, KEO Infrastructure
James Donlan first joined KEO as an engineer in 2009 and has steadily risen through the ranks to become the Executive Director of the Infrastructure Division. James is a chartered engineer with nearly 20 years of experience and has worked in the Middle East for over a decade.
He has been instrumental to the success of some of KEO’s largest infrastructure projects, including King Abdullah Economic City in KSA, South Sabah al Ahmed City in Kuwait, the QP District in Doha, Khalifa and Shakhbout Cities in Abu Dhabi and the International Financial Center in Kuala Lumpur. Clients with whom he has worked include Etihad Rail, the Abu Dhabi Department of Municipalities and Transport, Aldar, Musanada in Abu Dhabi; MoTC and Ashghal in Qatar, The Public Authority for Housing Welfare in Kuwait and Diriyah Gate Development Agency in Riyadh.
James holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master’s Degree in Transport Engineering and Planning from the University of Salford. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Highways and Transportation in the United Kingdom and has extensive experience of both project management and program management, leading some of KEO's largest projects across the region.
Prior to his latest appointment, James was the Transportation Manager of KEO’s Infrastructure Division, leading the Transportation Planning, Highways Engineering and Structural Engineering Teams in Abu Dhabi and holding regional responsibility for KEO's transportation teams across the GCC.
In his current role as Executive Director of Infrastructure, his responsibilities include overseeing delivery for all KEO infrastructure projects, engaging in business development activities and liaising with clients.
