The GSAS approved green design certification was achieved within a fast-track 6-month period for all 18 newly designed towers thatare a mix of retail, residential and commercial developments and are located in the iconic Boulevard District, Lusail City, Qatar. Tim Bell, KEO’s Senior Sustainability Manager stated “The challenge was how to ensure that the18 towers achieved the required level of certification. We found that by deploying a strategy of an integrated approach was the answer facilitated by the excellent teamwork and communication amongst KEO’s design team, the contractor, client and the sustainability authorities.” The Lusail City Development is one of the cornerstone districts of Qatar being readied for the World Cup Tournament in 2022.
